We are currently seeking seasonal, full time Class 3 Truck Driver for our Municipal Division. The work will be in Edmonton and surrounding area. Locals are preferred.
The Driver will consult and report to the Supervisor daily regarding production needs and paving plan in order to determine priorities.
What is the role?
- Maintain all necessary log books and operate equipment in a safe manner following all rules of the road
- Safely operate and drive truck for shift operations as directed
- Performs daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that Truck is in safe, proper working order including fluid checks and proper lubrication
- Monitor vehicle performance, fluid levels, and mechanical fitness
- Follows all safety, compliance, and environmental requirements in alignment with company standards
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
- Operate on public or private roadways, maintaining proper awareness of ones’ surroundings
- Ensure company equipment is operated in a safe manner and in accordance with Carmacks Equipment maintenance practices
- Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections
- Complete daily safety documentation
What do we value?
- Minimum 2 years of experience in operating a truck
- Experience in hauling construction materials and equipment
- Have fundamental understanding of road construction materials and practices
- Minimum Class 3 Drivers license with a clean driving record
- Able to work long hours in all weather conditions
- Overtime and weekend work is required
- Successful candidates must be able to meet pre-employment testing requirements.
